Kirk's 2008 R/C Season

2008 is Kirk's seventh season flying R/C combat. This year he will be competing in Open B, 2610 ("scale"), SSC and a newer scale class known as 2548.


FSA

This was a one day event with SSC and 2548. Kirk flew well and finished first in both events. He loaned out some of his planes so that Steede got to try SSC, and Cole flew his first scale combat.

Salisbury

This was a one day, all SSC event. Kirk finished in first place.

This was a one day, all SSC event. Kirk flew pretty well and finished second.

This was a four day, five class event. Kirk did ok, finishing second in the two scale classes, 2610 & 2548. He was third in SSC and Open B, and took fifth in Limited B. The camera had some software issues during the event. Eventually Kirk was able to "reboot" the camera and get it fixed. But because of the problems, there are fewer photos of some events.

This was a one day, all SSC event. A number of guys from years past came out of "retirement" to fly this event. Kirk flew ok, but had some bad luck and mid-airs. He finished third.

This was a one day, all SSC event. After shaking off a bit of rust, everyone flew well. Kirk finished in first place.
